Telegram's Privacy Shift: CEO to Share Data of Users Violating Laws


 Telegram, the popular messaging platform known for its strict privacy policies, has updated its terms of service and privacy policy.

CEO Pavel Durov announced that user data of violators, including IP addresses and phone numbers, will be shared with authorities upon request. This measure targets those exploiting Telegram's encryption for illegal activities. Durov also stated that problematic content has been removed, and A.I.

is used to enhance user safety. In August, Durov was arrested in Paris and later released on a €5 million bail after being accused of failing to curb illegal content and refusing to cooperate with authorities.
