Israel struck six areas in southern Lebanon on Thursday, violating the ceasefire with Hezbollah. The ceasefire, brokered by the United States and France, was established on Wednesday to allow citizens of both nations to return home after 14 months of conflict. However, the following morning, Israeli tanks targeted areas such as Markaba, Wazzani, and Marjayoun, causing casualties and preventing many Lebanese families from returning to their homes.

The ceasefire agreement prohibits offensive actions and requires Israel to withdraw from southern Lebanon within 60 days, but tensions remain high. Hezbollah declared readiness to respond and monitor Israel's withdrawal, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned civilians against returning to villages near the border for safety reasons.
