A Pennsylvania judge decided to delay action on a lawsuit aiming to stop Elon Musk's $1 million voter giveaway before the Nov. 5 U.S. presidential election. Judge Angelo Foglietta paused the case while a federal court considers taking it up, allowing Musk to continue the giveaway until after Election Day.
Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, a progressive figure, filed the lawsuit accusing Musk and his PAC of running an illegal lottery to sway voters by offering $1 million to those who sign a petition supporting free speech and gun rights.
The giveaway targets registered voters in seven key states. Krasner claims this violates consumer protection laws, using misleading language. Amid backlash, he requested heightened security due to threatening social media posts.
