Kremlin Denies Reports of Trump-Putin Phone Call on Ukraine Conflict

The Kremlin has denied reports of a phone call between U.S. President-elect Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the ongoing Ukraine conflict, labeling the claims as "fabricated." Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, confirmed there was no such conversation between the two leaders.

Earlier, *The Washington Post* cited anonymous sources who claimed that Trump had urged Putin to avoid escalating the conflict and reminded him of the U.S. military presence in Europe. Ukrainian officials also denied having been informed about any such phone call.

While Trump has repeatedly stated that he would quickly end the conflict if elected, Russia continues to assert that any solution must address the underlying causes of the war, including NATO’s expansion and the rights of Russian-speaking people in Ukraine.
